Ashlee Guest is a graduate-level intern therapist in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and is preparing to begin their practicum training in January 2027. Within TTUHSC's chapter of Chi Sigma Iota, the international counseling honor society, they serve as a CMHC Program Representative and Peer Mentor. Ashlee also holds a B.S. in Psychology with a certificate in Women & Gender Studies from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.
Ashlee brings experience in crisis intervention, student advocacy, peer support, and empowerment-focused work. As a Dual Credit Success Coach for Brazosport College, they have helped students navigate academic transitions, stress, motivation, and the unfortunate times when life does not particularly care about our carefully organized plans. They also spent approximately a year and a half volunteering with a suicide prevention hotline, where they learned to remain present with folks during some of their most vulnerable moments, listen without judgment, and help callers create a path to safety. Their background in empowerment photography has given them additional experience working with body image, identity, self-expression, and confidence.
Ashlee approaches counseling from a humanistic, strengths-based, and narrative-informed perspective and brings a warm, calm, and encouraging presence to their work. They value authentic therapeutic relationships and creating a collaborative, inclusive space where clients are understood as whole people rather than reduced to diagnoses or symptoms, including all of the complicated, contradictory, and occasionally messy parts. Ashlee will help you explore your experiences, recognize your strengths, and create meaningful change.
